The Auburn DRI planning committee on Tuesday trimmed the list of proposed projects being considered for funding. Mayor Michael Quill co-chairs the committee.
He tells Finger Lakes News Radio the price tag for the remaining proposals is $19.8 million, nearly twice the 10 Million in DRI dollars awarded to the city earlier this year.
The Mayor invited everyone to attend a public workshop scheduled for January 8 at the Booker T. Washington Center which will address the perceived notion that minorities have been left out of the DRI process.
There were concerns raised during the public workshop about the lack of affordable housing in the proposals. Mayor Quill says that has always been a concern and it will be addressed when the planning committee meets again on January 23.
