The annual Ithaca Festival is looking for help after losing about $18,000 dollars this year.
The festival, which started in 1977, doesn’t have the money to put the festival on next year, so they have started a go fund me campaign to raise money online. Festival organizers say they need to raise the money because they need to begin planning for next year’s festival.
The festival’s board is hoping to raise $30,000 dollars from donations and sponsorships to cover the ongoing expenses for planning for next year and clear debt from the 2018 festival.
About 40,000 people attend the festival each year.
