| The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Town of Marion man following an investigation into a vehicle off of the roadway on Tellier Road in the Town of Palmyra.
Deputies arrested William W. Huntley, age 68, of Cauwels Road in Marion for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC greater than .08%, unlawful possession of marihuana and other vehicle and traffic violations. It is alleged that Mr. Huntley was traveling westbound on Tellier Road in the Town of Palmyra at an unsafe speed, failing to negotiate a curve causing his vehicle to end up in a ditch. Upon further investigation it was determined that Mr. Huntley was operating his vehicle while in an intoxicated condition and found to be in possession of marihuana at the scene. Mr. Huntley was transported to the Waynce County Office of the Sheriff where it was determined that his BAC was .15%
Mr. Huntley was issued appearance tickets for his charges and released to a third party. Mr. Huntley is to appear in the Town of Palmyra court on a later date to answer to the charges.
