On December 13, State Troopers arrested 32-year old Sean Helmick of Auburn, New York for driving with ability impaired by alcohol, renting or leasing a vehicle without an ignition interlock device, possession of an open container, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and inadequate plate light.
Helmick was stopped on Genesee Street in the City of Auburn for having inadequate plate lights. He was found to be driving on a suspended license and was allegedly in possession of an open container of liquor.
Helmick was placed under arrest after failing standard field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Auburn barracks, where he provided a breath sample of .07.
Helmick was issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to the City of Auburn Court on December 21.
