Richard F. Callahan, 75, of Bridge St. passed away unexpectedly at his residence Thursday December 6, 2018.
A Military Service at Whitney Cemetery will be announced at a later date.

Born in Taylor, PA the son of Francis and Harriet King Callahan. He became an electrician in the United States Navy and retired in 1983 as an E7 after 24 years of service. Richard then went on and retired from the Silgan Container Company in Lyons, N.Y. after many years of service. He was a life member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.
Survived by two sons Lawrence P. (Crystal) Callahan of Seneca Falls and Thomas Callahan of Montour Falls; two sisters Mary (Paul) Olivieri, Fla. and Alice (Richard) Keener also Fla.; grandchildren Patrick and Christen Callahan; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased besides his parents is his wife, Hazel Callahan in 1997; stepfather, Jack Holbart and a sister, Sheila.
