Accused Branchport murderer Paul Khouzam has a new lawyer.
Shortsville attorney Robert Zimmerman appeared with his client in Yates County Court Tuesday. Khouzam is accused of breaking into the home of his mother, 67 year old Dr. Magda Khouzam-Daoud, last August killing her dog and then savagely beating her with a hammer before stabbing her repeatedly with a knife. She was found unconscious in the basement of her home. Khouzam was arrested as he walked down Arrowhead Beach Road.
Dr.Daoud remained on life support at Strong Memorial Hospital until she was transferred to a hospice facility and died October 18th.
