The Cayuga County Mental Health Building remains closed following a report of a bomb threat received on Wednesday afternoon.
A tweet from the Cayuga County Office of Emergency Services at 4:03 pm on Wednesday afternoon stated the office would be closed until 8 on Friday morning, but no reason was given.
Auburn Police checked the North Street offices but no device was found.
The Citizen reports the threat was not deemed credible and investigators may have a lead to the suspect or suspects.
Calls by Finger Lakes News Radio to County Administrator J. Justin Woods and Auburn Deputy Police Chief Roger Anthony have not been returned.
