A Wayne County grand jury has indicted Charlene Childers on new charges, which include criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree murder.
She was originally charged with conspiracy in connection to the murders of Josh Niles and his girlfriend, Amber Washburn, last month is Sodus. Childers pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday afternoon and was sent back to jail without bail. Childers had two children with Niles.
Her husband, 32-year-old Timothy Dean was extradited from Texas back to Wayne County last Friday and has been indicted on charges of first degree murder, 2 counts of 2nd-degree murder, conspiracy, and 2 counts of weapons possession charges. He also pleaded not guilty Wednesday afternoon and was sent to jail without bail. Dean, the former police chief in Sunray, Texas, was allegedly the shooter in the October 22nd double murder.
Bron Bohlar, a former Sunray police officer, has been indicted on a charge of conspiracy and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
