Robert Bruce Rector, age 78, passed away Tuesday (November 20, 2018) at the House of John.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday (November 27) at the R.A. Patrick Funeral Home, 26 West Main Street, Clifton Springs. A celebration of Robert’s life will immediately follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the House of John in Robert’s memory.
Robert was born November 21, 1939 in Clifton Springs, the son of the late Gordon H. and Margaret E. (Mann) Rector. He graduated from Phelps Central High school in 1957 where he was involved in FFA, football and track. Robert served in the US Army from 1957-1959. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 46. Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman and all around outdoorsman. He loved his farm and animals.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Patty; sons Lance (Angela) Rector and Thomas (Patty) Rector; step-daughter, Monique Barreras; step-sons Paul Barreras and Jaimey Barreras; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, John (Robin) Rector; several nieces and nephews; special neighbor, Joe Snyder.
Robert is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Margaret Rector; brother, Alfred Thomas Rector; first wife, Karen Miller Rector.
