A 51 year old Rushville woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing 440-THOUSAND dollars from her employer over an 11 year period.
Kimberly Payne, who also serves as a village trustee in Rushville, was employed as an office manager for a Victor technology business and was responsible for accounts payable, receivable and payroll. According to investigators, Payne used this access to forge checks from the business checking account to pay her personal bills. She also allegedly electronically transferred funds from the business account to multiple personal bank accounts. Payne is also accused manipulating payroll in that she altered the amount of her contribution toward her health insurance.
Payne is being held at the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
