In college soccer, William Smith advanced the 4th round of the NCAA Division III tournament, scoring with less than 2 minutes left to beat Amherst, 2-1. The Herons will host Williams at 1 at Boswell Field.
In mens’ college hoops, Franklin & Marshall downed Hobart, 85-84; RIT coasted by Wells, 72-54; #18 Emory crushed Keuka, 109-73; and Cayuga CC clipped Columbia-Greene, 95-87.
On the womens’ side, Utica upended Wells, 65-47; and UMass-Boston stopped Keuka, 78-69.
In college hockey, Hobart skated by New England College, 3-1; and William Smith easily over Lebanon Valley, 5-1. The Herons will complete that 2-game road set at 3 o’clock.
In the AHL, Providence edged the Amerks, 3-2; while the Crunch outscored Laval, 6-4. Rochester travels to Hartford at 3 o’clock this afternoon.
In the NHL, the Sabres made it 5 wins in a row with a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Minnesota; and the Rangers doubled up Florida, 4-2. The Islanders will host Dallas at 1.
In the NBA, the LA Clippers tripped up the Nets, 127-119. The Knicks head to Orlando for a 6 o’clock start.
