“No Congressman has represented the people of Oswego County better than John Katko. When Entergy Nuclear threatened to close FitzPatrick Nuclear Plant, John was there. Jobs saved, and plant is still running! New York State was going to close Fort Ontario. With John’s leadership Fort Ontario is open, and on the path to becoming a National Park. We have never had better representation. Let’s stop the nonsense and reelect John Katko in the 24th District. He gets results,”said Patrick Carroll, Business Manager – United Association of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 73.
Ted Skerpon, President/Business Manager, IBEW 97, “IBEW Local 97 is pleased to endorse Congressman John Katko for re-election. Congressman Katko spent countless hours with members of the IBEW and the community fighting for the preservation of zero carbon nuclear power generation in Oswego, NY, including attending and participating in rallies and contacting Company officials. The final result of these collaborative efforts resulted in continued employment of thousands of employees in the greater Oswego area, protection of tens of millions of dollars in associated tax revenues, saving public service jobs of teachers, police, fire and others, as well as local business dependent on continued power plant operations. In addition, the prevention of millions of tons of carbon emissions was accomplished by avoiding the alternative fuels that would have filled the void from the loss of clean, nuclear electrical power generation. We strongly urge all 24th district residents to vote for Congressman John Katko on November 6th.”
Terry Hogle, Manager, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 158 said, “Local 158 unanimously and without question or reservation voted to endorse Congressman Katko for U.S. Congress. The Operating Engineers will work tirelessly on Congressman Katko’s behalf in order to assure a successful campaign and victory, and we support him in all that he wishes to accomplish.”
Alan Marzullo, Business Manager, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 43 stated, “It is with great pleasure that we offer our union’s support for Congressman Katko. We feel that he will fight for the issues that will help not only the 1,500 union members that make up our local union, but all the working families in our area.”
Gabriel Rosetti, III, Business Manager for Laborers Local 633 said, “Our membership appreciates those who serve our local community and are compassionate to the matters that affect their families and their livelihood.”
The New England Regional Council of Carpenters announced, “The New England Regional Council of Carpenters Regional Manager Dave Haines is proud to announce its endorsement of Congressman John Katko. Since taking office in 2014, Congressman Katko has been a strong voice for improving workplace conditions, increasing workers’ wages, and protecting essential retirement programs. By reaching across the aisle to enact legislation that advances the interests of workers in Central New York, Congressman Katko has earned our endorsement by successfully supporting our union’s mission.”
