A 57 year old Canandaigua man faces felony charges after police responded to a Webster elementary school parking lot Tuesday morning for the report of a suspicious person.
Timothy Ryan is a construction subcontractor and was sitting inside his pickup truck waiting for his workday to begin. After determining he was no threat, police found Ryan to be in possession of two handguns in his car. Even though the gun were legally registered and licensed, it is illegal to bring a firearm onto school property. The school was placed on lockout for a brief period of time, but Ryan was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds.
