Gary Jones, age 74, passed away with his loving wife, Tandee Certo Jones and son, Brandon J. Jones, Sr. and nephews David and Fran Hilton by his side, 10-16-2018.
In keeping with Gary’s wishes there will be no public calling hours or Services as he, in keeping with his desire to help mankind, donated his body to science.
Gary was born on June 16, 1944 in Fayette the son of the late Robert L. and Eva M. (Robinson) Jones. He was a graduate of Gorham High School, attended FLCC and retired from Suburban Propane Energy in Geneva. Gary was a firm believer in giving back to the community in being a member and serving on the board of the American Veterans Support Organization. He and his wife dedicated many hours to this worthy organization and both were recognized as Man and Woman of the Year at an awards Banquet. In addition, he had a passion for the Buffalo Bills Football Franchise, loved drag, stock and NASCAR racing, served as his nephew, Fran Hilton’s chief mechanic. Also, he loved classic vehicles.
He especially enjoyed bringing joy to his great-grandsons, Hayden and Riley, whom he and his wife raised. Gary met his beloved wife, Tandee A. (Certo) Jones, when he was 16 and she was 13. They married 3-4-1965 and celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind his son and best friend, Brandon J. Jones, Sr.; his sister-in-law, Delaine Certo of Calif.; brother-in-law, Joseph Certo (Judy) of Waterloo, sister-in-law, Trish Certo of Geneva; and his sister, Joyce (Robert) Humphrey, Brandon J. Jones, Jr. (Amber), Nicholas Hunter, Logan Spencer and Erica Paige Jones and Alison Jones Stratton (Jacob); great- grandchildren Hayden M. Riley A. and Alexandria Jones and Adalyn and Jaxen Stratton; a sister, Joyce (Robert) Humphrey; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary is preceded in death by his son, Gary R. Jones Jr.; his sisters Shirley Breon, Norma Manino and Anita Hilton and his brother-in-law, Jay Harris (Delaine Certo).
