A public hearing on the proposed 2019 Yates County budget is set for November 15th.
The 44-MILLION dollar budget is a 2.7 percent increase over this year’s spending plan. It increases the tax levy by 1.82-percent. Under the proposed plan, 1 and-a-half jobs will be eliminated, while three new full-time workers will be added in public safety. The county workforce will include 227 full-time workers and 39 part-time employees.
Before the November 15th public hearing, county officials will review the proposed budget Wednesday and Thursday.
