The Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition has partnered with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and Wegmans to host a medication take back event Saturday at the Geneva Wegmans. Community members can bring any unwanted medication including over the counter, prescription and pet medication with no questions asked. Additionally, you can drop off liquid or needle based medications. Sheriff Phil Povero says it’s worth the effort to make sure unwanted prescription drugs don’t fall into the wrong hands.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office will also be holding a medication take back Saturday at the Law Enforcement Center in Romulus, or the sheriff’s sub-station in Waterloo. The take backs take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
