The manager of the Hillside Children’s Center in Hopewell has been arrested on charges of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child following a joint investigation with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Justice Center.
54 year old Jeffrey Webster was initially arrested October 2nd for forcible touching. Since then, two additional juvenile females came forward alleging Webster had touched them inappropriately while they were detained at the facility. Orders of protections have been granted to the victims.
The investigation into additional victims is ongoing.
Hillside issued us the following statement in regards to the investigation:
“In compliance with Federal and State privacy laws, Hillside Family of Agencies cannot provide personal information on current or former clients, including whether a person or family has received our services. Additionally, it is Hillside’s policy not to comment on issues related to staff. Our Family of Agencies is committed to the safety and well-being of every child, and any suspected or actual offense against a youth is not tolerated. We are cooperating fully with authorities.”
