A 44 year old Seneca Falls man faces felony charges after the report of a stabbing at a business in the town of Tyre Wednesday morning.
When Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on the scene around 4:30, they found a woman with knife wounds to the arm. The alleged suspect, Derais Davis, of Seneca Falls, had fled the scene. The woman was taken to Geneva General Hospital where she was treated and released. She has declined to press charges at this time.
The car involved in the incident was later located by deputies. Its alleged Davis attempted to clean blood from the interior and exterior of the car in an attempt to conceal it from police. It is also alleged that Davis discarded bloody items in a dumpster in Waterloo.
He is currently being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility on felony tampering with physical evidence charges.
