A tentative budget for next year has been approved by the Schuyler County Legislature.
If approved, it will mark the 7th straight year the tax rate has been reduced in the county’s spending plan. Under the proposed 49-MILLION dollar budget, the tax rate would decrease .71 percent. The tax levy would increase just under 58-THOUSAND dollars to 11.1-MILLION dollars. No programs, services or employees are eliminated in the budget.
A public hearing is set for November 13th.
