Geneva residents concerned about the progress of the Geneva Community Compact have formed a new group called the Ontario County Corruption Coalition.
They are hosting a town hall meeting tonight to talk about policing in Ontario County. The featured speakers are Iman Ibid, the director of the Genesee Valley Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union and attorney Bill Beck who will address the need for criminal justice reform in Ontario County. The Community Compact has been in place to address issues of relations between the police and the public since the shooting death of Corey Jackson in May 2011.
This afternoon’s meeting begins at 5:30 in Albright Auditorium at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
