New York consumers are divided on their shopping plans during this holiday season.
A new survey released by the Black Friday website says more than 40% Of New Yorkers plan to skip Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping. The nationwide survey of over 1500 people shows most shoppers will start buying gifts in early November, but men are more likely to procrastinate until December.
Twenty-seven percent of New York consumers are planning to start their holiday shopping in early November, while an equal number of those polled say they have decided to not shop at all.
Employers beware — the poll says 23% of New Yorkers planning to shop for Cyber Monday deals will do it during their work hours.
