On October 14, State Troopers charged 33-year old Michael Obrien of Auburn for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than .08%, moving from the lane unsafely and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Obrien was stopped on State Routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Montezuma for moving from the lane unsafely. He was found in possession of a jar containing marijuana.
Obrien was placed under arrest after failing standard field sobriety testing and transported to the Auburn barracks, where he provided a breath sample of .17.
He was issued uniform traffic tickets and an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Montezuma Court on November 7.
