A 57 year old Honeoye man has been charged with animal cruelty after Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies went to serve an eviction notice at a Gulick Road home in the town of Bristol.
As deputies were serving the notice on September 19th, they noticed Sadie, a female black lab that was unable to walk on her right front paw. It was discovered Sadie had a torn toenail and an infected paw. Sadie was seized by the Humane Society and a tumor was immediately removed. It was found to be cancerous and her foot was infected. Her owner, Kenneth Lotta was arrested after it was determined he neglected to care for Sadie’s condition adequately.
He will appear in Bristol Town Court at a later date.
