The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office will have a press conference Tuesday afternoon to update the media on the case of missing 1 year old Owen Hidalgo-Calderon.
The Times of Wayne County reported Monday night the child’s remains were recently located in a wooded area near where his mother’s body was found May 24th.
Selena Hidalgo-Calderon, of Guatemala, and her son Owen, were last seen at Joy Road farm in Sodus where they lived and worked. Her boyfriend, Alberto Gutierrez-Reyes has been charged with tampering with evidence after it was alleged he moved Hildago-Calderon’s dead body from their home and buried it. He has not been charged in committing her death. The Mexican native recently appeared in federal court on charges of illegally re-entering the United States after being deported twice.
Tuesday’s news conference will take place at 3.
