The Landmark Society of Western New York has announced its 2018 “Five to Revive” list and it includes two historic Finger Lakes buildings.
Parrott Hall in Geneva and the former National Yeast Company Building in Seneca Falls are both included on this year’s list the Society deems as structures worth investing in to ensure their adaptive reuse and revitalization of their neighborhoods. Parrott Hall has experienced significant deterioration in recent years, a local coalition is now trying to save the building.
The National Yeast building, better known as the former Peter Koch and James Cars Dealership building on Fall Street is now empty after the last dealership moved to a new location in Tyre. Plans call for the building to be demolished to make way for a new gas station and convenience store.
