A Sodus man is accused of driving with a blood alcohol content nearly 4 times the legal limit.
Deputies say they found a pickup belonging to 58-year-old Douglas Vanacker parked in the middle of Pratt Road, south of Route 104, at around 6 o’clock Saturday evening.
Vanacker was allegedly driving the truck with a BAC of .30%.
Vanacker is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and was issued appearance tickets.
The Wayne County Office of Sheriff reports the arrest of Douglas P. Vanacker, age 58, of Rotterdam Rd in the Town of Sodus following a complaint of a vehicle parked in the middle of Pratt Road.
The investigation showed that the operator, Douglas P. Vanacker, had parked his 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Pick Up Truck in the middle of Pratt Road, south of State Route 104. Douglas was found to be operating a vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated DWI (.18% or higher), and Parked on Highway. Vanacker was operating the vehicle with a BAC of .30%.
Vanacker was issued tickets and released. He will appear in the Town of Sodus Court on a later date to answer to the charges.
