Diane Marie Woodward, 88, passed away suddenly Sept. 23, 2018.
A private committal service will take place 2 p.m. on Tuesday (October 2) at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A light reception for friends and family will follow at the Clyde VFW, 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to Roosevelt Children’s Center, 848 Peirson Ave, Newark, NY 14513.
Diane graduated from Lebanon Valley College in Pa. She was an aid in the Clyde-Savannah Schools, drove bus, owned a bike and ski shop, then went on to devote over 25 years of her life to Roosevelt Children’s Center in Newark as an aid and photographer helping with many projects and most recently as a Foster Grand Parent. Diane enjoyed photography, the outdoors, and sports. She was known for her community service and was active in Rotary, (receiving the Paul Harris Award), Clyde Library Board, Red Cross, and the Clyde UMC.
Diane is survived by her children Sue (Allen) Russell, Roger Woodward, Sandi (Dan) Bastedo, Wendy (Jack) Ellis, Duncan’s daughter, Pat Walker (Ralph Jocke); and 11 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 55 years, Duncan.
