Richard “Rick” E. Dimon, Sr., 62, died Wednesday (September 26, 2018) at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday (October 1) at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. A Reception for family and friends will follow at the Potter Fire Dept.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Potter Fire Department, 1255 Phelps Road, Middlesex, NY 14507; or the Middlesex Valley Volunteer Ambulance, 817 Rte. 245, Middlesex, NY 14507.
Rick was born on March 5, 1956. He was the son of the late Clifford Dimon and Shirley Jones. Rick was a member of the Potter Fire Department and served 3 terms as the Fire Chief. Before he passed, Rick worked for Constellation Brands in Canandaigua as a mechanic.
Rick enjoyed hunting, golfing and fishing. He was an avid NASCAR fan who followed Kyle Busch. Rick valued his family greatly and made them his number one priority in life.
Rick is survived by his wife, Barbara Dimon; son, Richard E. (Lauren) Dimon, Jr.; daughter, Melonie (Tony) Tiffany; six grandchildren Aric, Kelsey, Ricky, Tyler, Willem, and Everett; mother-in-law, Sivia Fitt; sisters-in-law Deborah (Roger) McMillan and Sandra (Lynn) Hilts; several nieces and nephews; and his cat, Kitty.
