Onondaga County Sheriff’s Detectives and State and County Fire Investigators continue their investigation of Monday morning’s fatal fire at the Aaron Manor Townhouses in Fairmount in the town of Camillus.
The fire in apartment 13 caused significant damage to the unit and several adjoining apartments. The body of 42-year old Judy Lyn McCue, was located by firefighters in an upstairs bedroom. 41-year old Wendy Fitzgerald was transported to Community Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Her 14-year old son was not injured.
The apartment was equipped with a smoke detector.
The investigation is underway into the cause of a fatal early morning fire in Onondaga County.
Firefighters from multiple fire departments responded after he fire broke out just after 4 a.m. at the Aaron Manor Townhouses on Gordon Parkway in Fairmount in the town of Camillus.
Multiple media reports say the Onondaga County Sheriff’s office report one person has died after being trapped inside a unti. Another person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation but is expected to survive.
