Helen M. Vitticore, 74, died Wednesday (September 19, 2018) at the House of John in Clifton Springs.
Friends may call on Monday (September 24) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W. Genesee St in Clyde. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (September 25) at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Church/St. Joseph the Worker, 114 Sodus St. in Clyde. Entombment will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Clyde.

Mrs. Vitticore was born on February 8, 1944 in Auburn, New York the daughter of the late August and Sarah Hunter Buettner. She graduated in 1962 from Port Byron High School. Helen was not only a homemaker but she would always be helping her husband, Julius, the owner of Clyde Service Center. She loved being a member of the Clyde Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary and he held many positions over the years. Helen was active in the church volunteering for Martha Ministries, Religious Education and RCI. Helen would often be seen helping out at various Lions Club events over the years.
Helen is survived by her husband, Julius; three daughters Marie (Michael) Salerno of Clyde, Michele (Nicholas) Schuyler of Lyons and Melissa (David) Kuntz of Farmington; seven grandchildren Nicole, Michael, Natalie, Andrew, Alexander, Sydney and Austin; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Irving (Nancy) Buettner of Florida; a sister, Sandra (Jim Stanforth) Lutrario of Nevada; and the many special people who helped care for her during her illness especially her dear cousins Mary Ann Betts and Vicky Hadden.
