Jerry, a/k/a Pops, Hilkert, 76, passed away, early Monday morning (September 17, 2018) in Geneva General Hospital with his family by his side.
Friends and family are invited to call Saturday (September 22) from 10 a.m. to noon at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at the funeral home with burial immediately following in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Pops was born on December 22, 1941 in Waterloo the son of the late Wilmer and Vivian (Judson) Hilkert. He drove truck with his father for Hilkert Trucking and later drove bus for Lakeview Health Services. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Miami Dolphins. When not watching the race or the game he enjoyed going to the casino and purchasing “scratch off tickets”.
Pops is survived by his wife, Diane M. (Markel); his nine children Shelly (Brian) Moniz of Fla., David (Christine) Pearson of Fla., Mary (Rich) Chilson of Waterloo, Mike (Jodie) Pearson of Seneca Falls, Chris (Amy) Hilkert of Waterloo, Wendy (Tony) Ryrko of Seneca Falls, Cindy (Ken) Durham of N.C., Susan (Heather) Depalma-Spivey of N.C. and Daryl “Scotty” Hilkert of Canandaigua; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (Bill) Kanaley of Waterloo and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
