A 20 year old Canandaigua woman led police on a chase Tuesday night.
When Canandaigua Police attempted to stop Autumn Smith, she allegedly sped away, leading several law enforcement agencies on a chase through the southern end of the city. Sheriff’s Deputies used stop sticks to stop her car on State Routes 5 and 20 in the area of McCann Road, at which point she fled on foot into a field. Smith was later taken into custody and charged with reckless endangerment, driving while ability impaired by drugs, reckless driving, unlawfully fleeing a police officer and numerous traffic and vehicle violations.
She was sent to Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
