The murder trial of Emerson Tohafjian has been delayed until later in the year.
Tohafjian was scheduled to go on trial next month for allegedly committing the murders of his ex-girlfriend, 53 year old Lori McConnell, of Waterloo, and 45 year old Charlie Andrus, of Seneca Falls, back on July 10th. The delay is the result of Tohafjian now being represented by a new attorney, Frank Ciardi, of Rochester. The Finger Lakes Times reports Judge Rick Healy wanted to give Ciardi more than 30 days to prepare for trial.
The case will be back in court October 22nd for motions to be heard. Tohafjian remains jailed without bail.
