A judge has officially dismissed the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of Kevin Ward Jr. against NASCAR racing legend Tony Stewart.
The two sides came to a settlement regarding a civil lawsuit filed by Ward’s family back in April. Ward was killed after being hit by Stewart’s car during a race at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in 2014. Ward got out of his racer and started to walk towards Stewart’s car when he was struck. Toxicology reports show Ward also had marijuana in his system.
The settlement agreement will remain confidential.
