Auburn’s carbon filtration system continues to do its job.
The Cayuga County Health Department reported on Tuesday afternoon more low levels of toxins were found in test samples taken Monday of the raw water entering Auburn’s water treatment system. The carbon filters removed the minute levels that were so small the lab could not assign them a numerical value.
The report adds that no toxins were found in Monday’s samples of the untreated water entering the Town of Owasco’s plant, as well as in the treated water samples.
Auburn and Owasco have two separate intake pipes located in two different spots of Owasco Lake.
