The investigation into a September 6th accident on State Route 414 in the town of Lodi has resulted in the driver being ticketed.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, 30 year old Timothy Caves, of Clyde, was driving south just after 6 a.m. when he fell asleep at the wheel and struck a bridge underpass causing the truck to rollover. The truck then slid on its roof for several hundred feet. Shortly after Caves was able to get out of his truck, it caught on fire. Lodi firefighters were called to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
Caves was ticketed for failure to maintain his lane. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
