UPDATE: State Police have released the identity of the man killed in a motorcycle-minivan crash on Route 104 in Williamson Friday afternoon.
54-year-old James Hurley of Sodus was killed when his cycle slammed into the back of a minivan driven by 63-year-old Michael Michaels of Wolcott, as Michaels was attempting a left-hand turn on 104 between Town Line and Pound Roads shortly before 2 o’clock.
Hurley was taken to Rochester General Hospital, where he later died.
A passenger in the minivan, 66-year-old Nole Michaels, was also taken to Rochester General with minor injuries.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
State Route 104 in Williamson was shut down for several hours, after a motorcycle collided with a minivan Friday afternoon.
Troopers say the unidentified motorcycle rider didn’t stop for the minivan making a left-hand turn between Town Line and Pound Roads shortly before 2 o’clock.
The cyclist was taken to Rochester General Hospital with serious injuries, while a passenger in the minivan was also hospitalized.
