A former teacher with the Dundee school district was sentenced to 5 months in jail Thursday for stealing several thousand dollars from the school’s Class of 2017.
Amy Corron pleaded guilty to grand larceny. She was arrested in April for stealing close to 8-THOUSAND dollars in money raised by the group of students with years of fundraisers. Corron resigned her position as a Junior/Senior high school English teacher in January of 2017. She was adviser for the Class of 2017 and also served as a yearbook adviser.
In addition to jail time, Corron was sentenced to 5 years probation and will have to pay the money back to the district.
