Five barns on a farm in the town of Locke went up in flames on Thursday afternoon.
The Citizen reports the call came in shortly after 3:30 and Locke firefighters quickly put out a call for help. Crews from a dozen fire companies in southern Cayuga and Tompkins counties responded and helped get water to the farm on Bird Cemetery Road. An animal barn and a structure that was being used to store hay were involved.
There is no word if any animals were killed or hurt. Fire investigators have not determined the cause of the blaze.
