Three debates have been agreed to by both Congressman Tom Reed and his Democratic challenger Tracy Mitrano for later this fall.
The three debates will all take place within a week and begin October 24th in Jamestown. On October 30th, both candidates will square off in a debate in Corning that will be televised and the final debate will take place November 1st in Olean.
“We’re proud of our strong record of successfully solving thousands of individual constituent problems, helping families keep more of their hard-earned paychecks, and listening to their concerns,” said Abbey Daugherty, communications director for Tom Reed for Congress. “We have done three debates in previous cycles and are glad to do so again. We look forward to sharing our record and contrasting Tom’s common-sense views with our opponent’s extreme agenda.”
“I am so pleased to accept all of the invitations to debate that have been received by the campaign so far,” Mitrano said. “I entered this race because I have a vision for this community—one that I am eager to share with our voters. It’s been an honor to discuss the issues with engaged and concerned citizens across the district, and I look forward to debating Tom Reed about the issues that matter to constituents here in Western New York and the Southern Tier.
