In girls’ high school soccer, Sodus all over Lyons, 20-0; Pal-Mac bested Hornell, 3-0; Red Creek clobbered Hannibal, 12-1; Waterloo nipped Honeoye, 2-1; Gates edged Wayne, 2-1; and Auburn topped Fulton, 1-0.
On the boys’ side, Marcus Whitman eked by Penn Yan, 1-0; Churchville-Chili knocked off Canandaigua, 1-0; Williamson ran by Bishop Kearney, 7-3; and Geneseo got by Naples, 3-2.
In mens’ college soccer, U of R held off Hobart, 2-1; Wells doubled up Cazenovia, 4-2; and Keuka took down Mount St. Mary, 3-2.
In womens’ soccer, #7 William Smith dropped #5 Messiah, 1-0; Cazenovia bested Wells, 4-1; and Alfred upended Keuka, 2-1.
In MLB, the Yankees downed Seattle, 4-2; while the Mets tripped up Philadelphia, 10-5. Both series continue this afternoon.
