On Sunday, September 9, 2018, at 2:35 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Ashley R. Maddox, age 30, and Justin E. Chilson, age 33, both of Seneca Falls following a call for a domestic disturbance at a local residence.
A third party caller reported to 911 that a male and female were verbally and physically fighting. Upon arrival police located Justin outside the home in an intoxicated condition. Justin could not tell police what happened or what the status of the children or the female was. Police attempted several times to make contact with Ashley and the children inside. Police eventually entered the home, locating the children, an eight month old and a two year old, unattended in the living-room. After searching the home, Ashley was found in a closet, also intoxicated.
Additional details which are not able to be released at this time led to them both being charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Additionally, Maddox was in violation of a court order of protection. She was also charged with two counts of criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Chilson was released on an appearance ticket to a third party. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 10/10/2018, at 12:00 pm. Maddox is being held at the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
The children were turned over to a family member for the time being.
