Elsewhere, Thousand Islands thumped Port Byron/Union Springs, 52-12; Lowville edged Jordan-Elbridge, 26-20; Onondaga outlasted Cato-Meridian, 14-8; Newark downed Pal-Mac, 36-10; Wayne manhandled Midlakes, 49-13; Canandaigua ransacked Rush-Henrietta, 41-14; ER/Gananda got by Waterloo, 46-32; Mynderse trumped Tri-Towns, 36-6; and Victor gashed Gates-Chili, 47-7. In girls soccer, Bishop Grimes blasted Cato-Meridian, 6-1; Bishop Ludden bested Jordan-Elbridge, 3-1; HAC blanked Dundee, 3-0; Honeoye nipped Red Jacket, 2-1; South Seneca took out Naples, 2-0; Penn Yan pounded Romulus, 4-0; Williamson got by Gananda, 4-1; Mynderse mauled Geneva, 8-0; Marion all over Red Creek, 9-0; and Marcus Whitman upended Bloomfield, 2-0.
On the boys side, Honeoye nipped Midlakes, 1-0; Rush-Henrietta victorious over Victor, 1-0; and World of Inquiry toppled Bloomfield, 4-1.
In MLB, the Yankees shutout the Mariners, 4-0; while the Mets fell to Philadelphia, 4-3. Both series resume tonight.
