The 21 year old Long Island man accused of killing a fellow Binghamton University student last April pleaded guilty Friday to a charge of second-degree murder.
Michael Roque’s plea came one day after he turned down a plea deal. Joao Souza, an engineering student, was stabbed to death April 15th inside a dorm room. Even though no motive was released, investigators say the stabbing was not a random act.
Roque faces 25 years to life when sentenced in November.
