Joseph G. Perella passed away on August 28, 2018 at home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 312 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, NY Wednesday (September 5) officiated by Father Leo Reinhardt with burial to follow in St. Michaels Cemetery.
Joseph was born on April 25, 1947 in Binghamton, N.Y. to Joseph and Helen Perella. Joe was a truck driver for most of his adult life, driving and dispatching for Doug Marchionda Trucking until his retirement in 2014. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his life partner and wife, Linda Perella and faithful friend, Maggie. He is also survived by his daughters Chris (Tom) Hurlburt, Ann Marie Gidzinski (Kenny LaDue), Keri (Rick) Kelli, Jessica (Adam) Swanson; stepson, Timothy (Jennifer) Reed; sisters Peggy Loomis (Don), Linda (John) Mohr; brothers Rich (Linda) Perella and James Perella; 11 grandchildren; one-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents and best friend, Tony Laga.
