The Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association has received several reports of possible Harmful Algal Blooms on Seneca Lake this week.
Water samples from six suspicious blooms were obtained for laboratory analysis. The location of the possible blooms have yet to be disclosed. A small bloom was confirmed on the lake near Perry Point in Dresden on August 19th.
The Association reminds residents and visitors to be observant of water conditions while using the lake and to avoid swimming, fishing and boating in areas with algal blooms.
