Cutting and Pasting History: Scrapbooks in the Seymour Library’s Collections
Discover history through this exhibit of local scrapbooks from the 1860s to the 1910s. Explore an Auburn Fire Department scrapbook (1896-1905), a scrapbook compiled by a teenage girl from Venice Center (c. 1886), and a Civil War scrapbook which with newspaper coverage of the April 1861 departure of the first Auburn troops. Selected pages are on display and the full volumes can be accessed through digital copies.
Carriage Houses of Auburn

This exhibit by local artist Karen Bove features the carriage houses that sheltered the horses and carriages once owned by the wealthy citizens of Auburn.
