Charges have been filed against a Geneva man that was involved in a standoff with police for approximately 3 hours Thursday night.
Prior to the officers arrival, 55 year old Raymond Shirley is accused of firing a round from a shotgun into his floor at the Serenity Manor apartment complex, which damaged the ceiling in the bedroom of the apartment below him. Some residents of the apartment building were evacuated while others were sheltered in place as deputies negotiated with Shirley.
After speaking with negotiators, Shirley was taken into custody without incident and was charged with felony reckless endangerment. He is being held at the Ontario County Jail pending his arraignment.
