Bill was born November 1, 1938, in the Bronx to the late George Murphy and Ethel LaCour Murphy. He was a graduate of Ovid Central School and was retired as an Assistant Recreational Therapist at Willard Psychiatric Center. Murph was an avid sports man, who loved his NY Yankees, NY Giants and the Fighting Irish. However, golf was his biggest passion, where he excelled. But most importantly, his pride came from his only grandchild, whom he adored.
Bill is survived by his three daughters Christine Murphy of Ovid, N.Y., Carol Murphy of Orlando, Fla., and Kelly Murphy of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; one grandson, Zachary Murphy Wagoner of Orlando, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jack and George; and his loving wife, Kay, in 1993.
