The Cayuga County Health Network and the county health department’s Healthy Neighborhoods progam is winding up its summer home visit program.
Kim Abate said on Friday’s Finger Lakes Morning News the program is in the final year of its five-year grant funding, and they are hoping another grant will become available.
The program currently covers the City of Auburn, with the help of the Auburn Fire Department, and also offers home inspections in Moravia and Locke.
Abate said they hope to expand the program if the grant program continues.
Healthy Neighborhoods provides in-home assessments and interventions for a number of environmental health hazards. You can learn more and request a home visit by going to the Health Network website or by calling (315) 252-4212.
